It’s not inhumane, is it?

Yogi loves water

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

Yes he does. Before I adopted him, I was told that he loves water. I have since seen him many times playing in the tub and sinks, despite the water. He loves getting himself wet. This morning he jumped into the kitchen sink, then I turned on the faucets splashing water on his back and he did NOT care… he was fascinated by the water. Here is the living proof that he loves getting himself wet and giving himself a shower and a rinse of his hair.

It looks like a lot of fun! Even though the official trailer of The Golden Compass tells me a lot more than I need to know about the story while I am still reading…

They sang his song…

Friday, September 21st, 2007

My friend Ong dubbed the Thai version of Aladdin years ago, and of course, he sang the Thai version of A Whole New World, the theme song of the movie. He sent me the “pop” version of the song, sang by pop singers Bird and Amp. And apparently they can’t pronounce the word “new” correctly. You can To hear his beautiful voice, download the songs at http://undinisis.multiply.com/music/item/163/Aladdin_Thai.

Scratch that screen!

Friday, September 21st, 2007

Apparently the iPhone/iPod touch screen is so scratch resistant that keys and blades don’t hurt it a bit. Even so, I will definitely not try it on mine. Oh yes, I did get my iPod touch at the store last week, before my pre-order was shipped… as someone said it on the web somewhere, “Note to self: never pre-order from Apple.”

The World Without Us

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

The World Without UsI found that a few of my friends are reading The World Without Us at the same time as I am. We all seem to be really enjoying it. Weisman had a tour in the city last night but I couldn’t go, which is too bad.

Apparently the book’s website has some interesting visual materials to go with the book, which I just happened to find. I have also found some videos on YouTube as well.

Everything who is aware of environment issues should really pick up a copy and read; but of course, for those who don’t care much about the environment, they probably won’t care to read in the first place. Weisman visualizes the Earth without us being around, which us, as he claims, an innovative way to look at the effects we have induced onto the environment.

ONJ’s Physical

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

Phyiscal was really the first pop song I remember singing when I was a kid. Mom had a mixed tape from a colleague of her, which I lived by. The first song on side A was Physical.
