New cat on the block

osx leopard
One more day to go. It’s been almost 6 years since the launch of OSX. Cheetah, Puma, Jaguar, Panther and Tiger, and now comes Leopard. I remember when I got the Beta in the mail I was like, oh my God, this thing is insane. But of course, now we have all become so used to it and don’t think twice about the interface. I’ll probably try to get it tomorrow, and install it on my iMac ASAP, as you know me, I can’t wait for this stuff. And the next one in the family will probably be “Lion,” don’t you think?

My money is actually on Cougar or Lynx, since we don’t really think of Lion’s as being fast – just powerful.

Let me know how it works for you! As you know, I’m not the most early adopter. I have to admit, though, Leopard looks like the most exciting thing since the first OS X release.

    I wager it’ll be Cheetah.

I can’t wait to put this on my Mac. But is it safe to just upgrade or clean install?

I haven’t had any problem so far! I strongly suggest a clean install unless your computer is rather new and doesn’t have a lot of installed apps on it.
