Bronx Zoo

Monday, June 27th, 2005

Saturday we visited the Bronx Zoo. It was super hot that day, but it turned out to be really nice in the zoo, since they have a lot of shades. I have always loved zoos. I tried to visit the zoo wherever I went and whenever I could. The Bronx Zoo is definitely one of the best ones I have ever been too. I just love how they house the animals in their natural habitats (as much as possible, at least.) I got to “touch” the tiger and hogs (behind the glass). Here are some shots of the animals.

Vintage Synth

Tuesday, June 7th, 2005

While reading the Engadget RSS feeds today, I encountered a childhood favorite. My younger cousin had the Casio VL-Tone synth. It’s our favorite toy of all time when we played together. I urged my mom to get one for me too. Wish granted, I got the VL-5. (I had no idea what the model number was back then. I only realized that until now.) So I did a little bit of a search, found the Vintage Synth, which listed a lot of old synths. The one I had has extreme cool factor a barcode reader that reads from the barcode song book. Then I found its specs and a picture. I wonder whether I still have it at my parents’ house.
