Blackberry updating…

January 9th, 2009

I just upgraded my Blackberry firmware from 4.2 to 4.5. Supposedly it’s going to support (finally) YouTube streaming, video recording, voice note recording, Office documents editing and HTML emails. Nothing new for other major platforms. Sill, it’s a major release! Though my Blackberry is so insanely sluggish now!

Wii Fit after the holidays

Looks like I do need to push myself back on to the Wii Fit balance board too, after the Holidays…

Peking Duck and Copy Crab (WTF!? The translation sounds so silly…) are just 2 of favorite dishes…

Yes, yes, yes! My books got accepted and are currently on their way to the upcoming Dog-Eared Artist Book Show at Purdue University in Indiana.

The 3 books that will be exhibited are:

1. The Shopping B(ag)ook (2008) (Okay, for a certain reason, I can’t really release pictures of the book yet, but you’ll be able to see it at the show.)
2. Oversized Silver Coptic (2006)
3. Braided Tapes (2007)

I simply cannot not cross-post the information of the show! So here it comes…

Time Out HK’s 44 things to do in Hong Kong

October 6th, 2008

Time Out Hong Kong recently suggested 44 must-do’s and must-see’s in Hong Kong. Here are the highlights that I absolutely agree with…

1. Take a trip on the Star Ferry and see the Skyline
2. Take the tram to The Peak to get a breath-taking panoramic view of the city
3. Tea at the Peninsula
4. Dim sum!!!! Best on Earth, I daresay.
5. Ride the Ding-Ding
6. Take a hike! That includes visiting the Tai O Fishing Village, Lamma Island or Sai Kung’s deserted beaches. Hong Kong has more than cityscapes, you’ll be surprised.
7. Sing Karaoke

Honeycrisp is back!

October 1st, 2008

I was never a huge fan of apples, until I tasted the Honeycrisp. I like apples okay, but the Honeycrisp is a whole different story. They are the perfect apples to me. This is now the time for Honeycrisp! I stopped by the farmer’s market and bought half a dozen, should’ve gotten more. Every year, I say the same thing, “Should’ve gotten more…” Honeycrisp has a very short season and if you miss it, you miss it.

Eat this! One more!

Canon just announced yet another DSLR: the 5D Mark II, well, as anticipated. Highlights are 21mpx, full frame with live view HD video shoot. Oh yes. And it’s only $2,700. Sure, whatever.

At least I know I am sticking with my original game plan: the 50D! In a couple years maybe I’ll upgrade to an affordable full frame DSLR. Or who knows, maybe there will be a new technology coming out… how about those Four Thirds…

Whether it’s a real thing or not, I kinda want to try Slim Clips. Could it be delicious? I suppose if one choses to eat this, it’s probably not really for its taste, but rather the need to chew.
