Friday, January 9th, 2009

Looks like I do need to push myself back on to the Wii Fit balance board too, after the Holidays…

Wii Fit sold out in US immediately

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

I was lucky enough to get my copy right when it’s launched here in the US, because I was lucky enough to be able to pre-order it, and I have been really having fun with it. According to the LA Times, Wii Fit was sold out immediately everywhere in the US, one of the possible reasons is the weak US dollar, because it is estimated that North America only gets 500k units of Wii Fit while Europe gets 4 times of that, 2 million units. Nintendo is trying to make more money elsewhere, despite the larger marketing in North America. Interesting.

Wii Fit is on its way!

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

My copy of Wii Fit has just been shipped! I am very excited. It’s been hyped and hyped about many times… let’s see how fun it really is when I step on it. It looks cool but somehow I feel it’s gonna be silly when you’re actually on it.

Cooking Mama!

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

cooking mamaSince the launch of the Wii, I have been waiting and waiting for Cooking Mama to come out. I was so looking forward to using the Wii remote to cut cucumbers, slice chicken, make pasta, stri-fry, make cream puffs… It just seems like a heck lot of fun. To be exact: silly fun. So it finally came out yesterday and I got it. I can’t wait to go home and hear that seriously Japanese-accented female voice keeps saying, “Better than mama!”

Dumb fuck

Just because Wii can access the Internet it’s enough for the Christian anti-porn site to raise their concern towards it. These folks are just so busy.

Pro-Bowler playing Wii

Saturday, January 6th, 2007

On some Japanese music show, a bunch of artists are playing the Wii bowling game. Pay attention to the first one, who is a pro-bowler. You can definitely learn some techniques there. By the way, the one that follows him is Fumiya Fujii, and there is BoA playing at some point later on.

Uber-geek, Super-fun! WiiSaber!

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

Oh I love it. It’s absurd and ridiculous. I swing my Wiimote around just like a saber. It gives me noises and rumble feedback. I can’t see the saber but I can feel it. It’s right there…

Download WiiSaber and play with your Wiimote.

Wii Flash Games

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006

When the new Opera browser becomes available on the Wii, make sure you check out WiiCade, which keeps a collection of Flash-based games that you can play on the Wii, especially hot with the Wii remote.

I got it.

Monday, December 4th, 2006

Yes, I did get a Wii. After hours and hours of obessing over discussion boards and web stores, and after the failure to grab one at Nintendo World even though I arrived at 5.20am, I gave up to Craigslist. But now I am Wii and happy!!!
